A lot of my work is inspired by whatever I’m listening to. And when I designed this mouse, I was listening to a lot (A LOT) of Critical Role. I wanted to play around with a D&D trope, but with a little tweak. So when I realised that a cheese knife sort of looks like a barbarian’s sword, I was off to the races.
Again, this is a silly idea. I spent way longer on it than I should, but it was fun all the way through. I got to work on my line drawing, and I spent the whole time trying to think of other rodent/D&D hybrids that could fit alongside this guy. A mouse-rogue who gets disadvantage on trap-checks whilst they can see cheese is top of the list I think…
